ABOUT ME:
I am a trained biologist and animal technician, spending much of my life caring for animals, at the Toronto Zoo and the Vancouver Aquarium. I was blessed to see many animals give birth, support each other and raise their younglings.
I gave birth in 2018, here on the Sunshine Coast in Canada, and have since been a strong advocate and facilitator for new mothers. It is here where I learned the importance of being among Mothers during the time of Matrescence.
I am a certified practitioner of Innate Traditions® Postpartum care. Learning from my teacher, Rachelle Garcia Seliga, who passed to me ancient traditions from around the world. I help women tune into their wisdom and follow a set of practices for optimal postpartum healing. My compass is using my talents and experience as a woman, educator and friend, to help families in my community and abroad.
How do we create cultural change around understanding the IMPORTANCE and VALUE of postpartum care?
By community level education, and in a field of safety, receiving care and teaching from someone you have a trusted relationship with.
